The Royal Mile is one of the main strips of tourist street in Eddie Bert, especially for that old Scottish vibe. I've referenced it a couple of times and walk through it entirely too many times and have taken too many pictures of it, but I just can't help myself. Here are some more.
A random street off of the Mile.
Tiny, defenseless police booth with no po-po inside. Great work on curbing the fighting in the streets, boys. You give tourists complete confidence for insuring their safety and providing information.
St. Giles, my favorite chapel here, not that there are many to choose from. It's not as delicate and ornate as the illustrious cathedrals you'd find in France, but that's what I like about Giles. And even if it can't compete, it is still beautiful with all the requisite stained glasses and intricate carvings. It's sturdy, thick, and has the feeling of a real sanctuary inside and for that, I love it.
Construction has overtaken the entire city of Eddie Bert. Everywhere you step, you're under scaffolding and on top of hastily thrown down wooden boards. It annoys me when I'm walking through the busyness and have a hard time listening to my music, but during these rare moments, when the construction is just far enough spaced from me and tucked neatly away, I like to gawk. I think BP has really instilled in me a curiosity for construction. Two beautiful arms, clawing at centuries-old walls.
This building here? They call it New College. And yes, it's still older than your grand mama and mine combined.
